My neighbor Lori brought over some lights and we brought out the tree and decorated it, and Zuke is still here elfing away at the shower-Christmas music is on, but now John Mayall Turning Point. He is taking all my albums, that’s going back to my first album ‘West Side Story’ and Frank’s ‘Come on and Dance With Me,’ on which he was winking and holding up a finger beckoning me to come dance and I never stopped since. Cody is putting all my radio shows from KEQ on cd’s, and another fellow DJ besides Steve, my friend Jake in Vermont, sent me a Christmas present of about 10 cds he made for me. He always makes me cds for long trips to england on planes, and he sent me some cheese from his Vermont town, a tee shirt from a coffee house, and some of his photographs. I knew he liked Paul Bowles, who wrote Sheltering Sky among many other books. Jake had the radio show before me on Wednesdays and we always had a good yak or shared a lunch. Other people really got on my nerves while I was trying to concentrate on the flow of my music, but Jake was the only person who I loved having around. He came with us to see Les Paul in New York at the Iridium, and luckily Jake drove me home to New Jersey, because the cabbies wouldn’t go that far. Here are some pictures of this week.
