it is a rainy day and I am working on some advice from my wonderful UK solicitor(lawyer) about working with agencies for practical information helpful in securing employment information over here. step step step, back up, go a different step. I am sure glad I had the blessing of being able to stay here and do this.
Russ’s bicycle came yesterday to his office and he loves it. I reserved a Shakespeare book at the bookstore, I think the last thing I need is another book. BBC News is on telly, watching British soldiers returning home, coffins taken from plane to hearse with wonderful praise for them and what they have done, how they were tragically lost-a renegade Afghan national police officer working with them as a trainee/coworker gunned these 5 men down in cold blood at their checkpoint. Warm descriptions and heartfelt salutes. When you see this, it is the thing to do to honor these lost men. Why doesn’t our country do this? There are comments from his parents and fellow soldiers as to who these men are. It is moving and proper.
I wondered why this paperwork has been getting to me. I have been working on it over 4 hours. This is a good day. Russell bought me a tin of biscuits, chocolates and cookies from Marks and Spencer, the retro tin that looks like an old time radio with a cup of tea in front of it, I think the pressed tin process is bas relief. Too cold to go outside for a break, but with the sea 2 blocks away, I am a fool not to go walk.
