Taking it easy today with Russell at his office. We went out for lunch and had bangers and mash in a red wine sauce, very good and reasonable. It is a sunny day but one moment I am cold and need a tank under my cotton Yasuko blouse, and I have on a vest and warm wool/silk scarf. Soon off comes the vest and scarf and it’s hot. So I make lemonade, which means I have an excuse to go to Boots and get something to drink. I tried a lovely lime crush and the label says no hammock included. Then to my lovely ginger beer which isn’t a beer, but each of these drinks were many ounces and 99 pence, and a small diet Coke was much more, and the coke is smaller than in the states in a plastic bottle-I’m talking small..Remembering my 2 liter tank o’ pop bottle is embarrassing.
I wish I knew what all the flower tincture therapies were on the shelves in Boots. I should go back and look for something for my poor feet, I know after all the lack of sleep and walking here that I feel fine but somehow my body is telling me my feet need rest, altho I am eager to keep going. So I am doing really good for my second day here. I am also getting alot of phone calls for private duty nurse/companion and live-in opportunities. I would love to stay and go for a life here. It isn’t so easy. It is very hard to get settled in this country. I could have a job already if I had a lawyer to figure out the work visa situation. Guess since I got off the plane less than 2-3 days ago I need to find some answers.
