I suppose there would a certain royalty to pay, but to open the blog with Michael Jackson’s ‘The Way you Make me Feel’ would be a sure winner to get up and dance. I have it on right now from downloaded iTunes.
It is a glorious day, true autumn, with real sun and real breezes and totally windows open in all the rooms of my home. I washed all my blankets yesterday and hng them outside on the laundry line. I’m proud to say the dryer has been broken 10 years, it needs a new thermocoupler, however you spell it. but I won’t let anybody fix it.
If Granny Amy and Lillian can hang clothes outside and bring back those memories to me, I am a keeper. I remember riding my bike in Evanston as I headed to Lake Michigan bike paths 5 blocks down, and watching laundry waving in the Monday breezes, there is something about it…one summer I had a card table in the yard and I even had a wastebasket for the morning newspapers. I would be sure to do a load of laundry so I could smell it and take time hanging it up, and sit and read with the dogs enjoying the yard and the company and vice versa.
So when the neighbor gets home we can read the Sunday paper outside and it won’t take much to remind them it is a good day for a cookout.
I am going to try to post some pictures on here.
Anita, now that I know you read this, and Russell to, I am inspired that somebody is out there. That is how it was with my radio show. If I knew a particular person was listening, I would find new inspiration to jazz things up or in this case, write daily. Enjoy your Sunday, it is The Lord’s Day.
