I stayed overnite in Spearfish after my weekend. 511 highway patrol report said roads were slushy, icy and wet. I went on to enter some different #s to see how I-90 was between Rapid City and Wall. That was just as bad, but they said highway maintenance had been suspended. I talked to my dad this morning in Wisconsin, he said the bottom line was probably money. Wow, I bet her is right, I bet the state is saving the snowplows and sanding equipment for later on in the winter. My $25 square deal of staying in the great motel up there is a blessings. Manuela left the heat on high in the room when I got there after 11 pm.

My kids at work are out of the flu zone for now. They all need to use some chapstick and lotion on their faces under their noses. It is tough to Grandmother them all when they don’t talk much. We were having a good time watching a movie last night until they started a video game tournament, three boys apologized for having to turn off the movie. It was Butterfly Effect #3, at least they told me that. Sci Fiction channel is running scary movies all month. This had John Cusack, right out of my home town the windy city, but anytime Ray Liotta is in a movie, you know ya got troubles kid.

Driving home today was more than gorgeous. The glorious Hills were covered wth skiffs on snowfall, I could see where the wind had blown the snow on the ridges. It was so beautiful. Pines had their branches coated and I just couldn’t get enough. Winter is the season I think is most beautiful here. A camera could never capture it all. It is always dark when I drive south to rapid city, and now I can clearly see Bear Butte even more magical than all else.

In 2 weeks I will be on the plane to UK. I am bringing one suitcase and going to wing it from there, having no idea what the weather will be. I have a good warm wool hat and warm sweaters.  Having a full home I have lived in 33 years is the problem.

I took 2 cats from my neighbor when they were kitties, there was a third cat. The neighbor phoned me today, the third cat had gotten hit by a car and that lady says if I ever want to give up my 2 cats she would take them, her cat was more loving and smart than any she had ever had. That answer came easy as to what to do with my cats. Now I need more answers to problem solve , one day at a time and I will enjoy the excitement.
